Impact’s flagship church – Churchill Meadows Christian Church (CMCC) – was started on September 30, 2001. CMCC is a high impact church that focuses its outreach efforts to the unchurched in the City of Mississauga (a rapidly growing suburb of Toronto). On opening day, there were 459 people in attendance. Since that time, CMCC has been averaging over 300 in attendance each Sunday and is in the process of purchasing land (which will close at the end of June 2006) and will hopefully be in their new building by 2008. We thank God for decisions for Christ that number into the hundreds! You can check out their website at:

It started with Churchill Meadows, but the work is not over! We sense God calling us to a new faith-stretching dream - a dream so big and bold, we can only accomplish it by the power of God. We refer to this dynamic new era of church planting as “Chapter Two”. The New Testament church witnessed a great harvest of souls as “the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved” (Acts 2:47).
Then on September 25, 2005, we did it again! Churchill Meadows Christian Church daughtered their first church called Freshwater Christian Church (FWCC). This church was started in partnership with Impact Canada and the East 91st Street Christian Church in Indianapolis, as well as other U.S. and Canadian churches, partnering organizations, and individuals. On opening day, Freshwater saw 309 people come through their doors. It was a very exciting day! Since then, this new church has been averaging 150 in attendance each Sunday, and we thank God for the difference they are making in their community. You can check out their website at: www.freshwaterchurch.com.
We want to experience that same multiplication of believers and churches throughout the strategic region of Southern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area, and right across Canada!
We believe our goals reflect the heart of God for reaching lost people in the twenty first century, and entail the following:
-
Impact Canada will plant 30 new churches by 2020.
-
The daughter churches will plant 10 granddaughter churches by 2020.
-
We will establish a Strategic Church Planting and Equipping Center in the greater Toronto area by the end of 2006 to help facilitate this movement of new churches.
